POSITION: IT SECURITY ANALYST

DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

STATUS: FULL TIME

SALARY: $37.55 - $46.94

Position Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology Services (ITS), this position will provide leadership in STEGH’s work to ensure resiliency to cyber security threats. Advance STEGH’s cyber security capabilities through alignment with provincial and regional strategies, implementation and auditing of cyber security controls, and the development of monitoring and Incident Response procedures. Educate and inform stakeholders to strengthen the first line of cyber defense.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with possibility of occasional hours on weekends or evenings. 

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Cyber Security, computer science, information security or related field from accredited college/university
• In depth IT security knowledge and associated risks
• Broad knowledge of advanced IT concepts (Servers, Active Directory, and other frameworks)
• Strong situational analysis and decision-making skills
• Plans their own work based upon the their judgement
• Provides guidance and advice on IT security matters
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work calmly to meet tight deadlines and work in a time sensitive environment with competing demands and interruptions.
• Attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Demonstrated behaviours aligned with STEGH values.
