POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE
Pre- & Post- Anaesthetic Care Unit
Primary Site: Stratford/Clinton
Regular Part-time

REPORTS TO: Manager, Surgical Services & MDRD

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $33.23 to $47.57 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

EXPERIENCE:
-Recent clinical experience in Recovery Room/Day Surgery/ENDO preferred.
-Recent Paediatric and adult clinical experience in PACU.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
-Specialized nursing skills in the following areas:
- Airway Management and Breathing Support
- Haemodynamic Monitoring
- E.C.G. Interpretation course
- Physical Assessment Skills
- PACU course and current ACLS
- Ability to identify pre and post op complications/risks.
- Ability to organize, work independently, problem solve and trouble shoot.
- Good understanding and knowledge of endoscopy procedures and technology.
- Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Meditech information system, OR+ array and personal computer applications
-Twenty (20) minute return time will be required when scheduled for standby
