POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT II - Infection Control, Training and Development, Health and Safety, Chemotherapy and Facilities Management
Primary Site: Stratford
Regular Part-Time
(Shifts: Mon-Fri, may be subject to change)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Support II, float is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the proper flow of communications and to assist in the efficient service delivery of the Infection Control, Training and Development, Health and Safety, Chemotherapy and Facilities Management departments.

REPORTS TO: Director, Quality and Risk

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $22.75 to $24.10 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Completion of two year Medical Office Administration Diploma

Experience:
- Recent, related experience working in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint
- Previous experience with S2 netbox (security system) an asset
- Previous experience with Learning Management System an asset
- Previous experience with Handy Audit preferred
- Exposure to and understanding of Health and Safety and/or Infection Control preferred

Abilities:
- Intermediate to expert level competence with Microsoft office including Work processing, Excel Spreadsheets and graphic software, Clarity, Meditech and other database applications
- Good working knowledge of general office practice and procedures including operation of office equipment, i.e., projectors, computers, teleconferencing, videoconferencing, etc.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, multi-task and to be flexible within the work day
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within an Interprofessional team environment
- Demonstrated attention to data quality and detail

Physical Demands:
- Frequent interruptions and deadline pressures
- Ability to juggle the competing demands of providing support to more than one person/department
- Majority of work is done in the usual office setting that includes sitting for extended periods of time, standing and walking
