POSITION: BED ALLOCATOR
Primary Site: Stratford

Regular, Part-Time x4
(Shifts: 6 or 12-hour days/nights, 7-days/week, may be subject to change)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling, the Bed Allocator will act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties, and being responsible for coordinating room utilization based on patient care requirements

Reports to the Manager of Patient Flow & Scheduling.

SALARY: $26.67 to $28.30 per hour

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificate
  • Up to six months’ previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability for self-direction and to work independently exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with an ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, stewardship, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent customer focus with demonstrated ability to work well with fellow staff, internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an inter-professional environment
  • Ability to multi-task while under pressure
