                                                                NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION: COORDINATOR OF VOLUNTEERS
Temporary Full-time (until January 2021)
1 position @ 37.5 hrs/week
Monday to Friday with some evening/weekend work

REPORTS TO:           Executive Director (ED)

DATE REQUIRED:    December 2019
                                        (Exact start/end date to be determined)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Post-secondary degree/diploma and/or certificate in Volunteer Resources Administration, Human Resources or a regulated healthcare profession

Experience:
• 3+ years working experience with demonstrated skills in volunteer administration or human resources administration
• Certified Administrator of Volunteer Resources (CAVR) considered an asset
• Experience working or volunteering in a not-for-profit community-based service delivery environment
• Knowledge of current evidence-based methods and practices of volunteer management

Abilities:
• Planning, implementation and coordination of the visiting hospice volunteer program services in the communities of Stratford, St. Marys and Perth South, and the residential hospice volunteer services for the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth (RHSP)
• Recruitment, screening, training, supervision and evaluation of volunteers
• Management of visiting hospice volunteer services referrals
• Facilitation of in-house and external education sessions

• Creative, self-starting, highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple priorities through strong time management skills and effectively working to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and conflict resolution
• Enjoys working in a team environment with the highest degree of professionalism.
