Registered Dietitian  - Full Time Interim

 It's incredibly fulfilling work to help people achieve their goals and inspire someone to take control of their health! As a Dietitian at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, you will provide clinical nutrition care to inpatients, outpatients, chemotherapy and hemodialysis patients.  You will also act as a source for reliable nutrition information to patients, families, health professionals and the public. Additionally, you will assist in the development/revision of patient menus and policies and procedures for Clinical Nutrition Services. To provide these services, the successful incumbent will collaborate with other health care providers and function as a key member of interdisciplinary team contributing to the success and goal attainment of both in-patients and out-patients.

Qualifications

 

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Membership in Dietitians of Canada preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in patient education and ability to support the advancement of dietetic practice-based research and knowledge
  • Ability to promote a high standard of professional practice by disseminating nutrition knowledge and information
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development related to best practice in clinical nutrition
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing and data management software
  • Recent clinical nutrition experience preferred.
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture an asset

 

Salary:  In accordance with the CUPE Local 3634 Collective Agreement
